Yoga & Writing is a community and education platform for writers, yogis, and those curious in finding ways to access and cultivate their creativity, authenticity, and strength.
Every Thursday, I alternate between cultural/philosophical/practical essays on yoga and writing and discussion threads for community members (coming soon). I combine artistry and research in diving deeper into the convergence of these two passions and ways to live. There will also soon be ‘Move your mind’ quick tips to start your week that you can try right away.

We are here to experiment and have fun, to support each other at whatever ‘level’ we arrive at. Even if you’re totally new to yoga or writing, join us to move your mind and body in new ways.
Kathleen Waller, PhD
I’m Kate, the founder, author, and teacher at Yoga & Writing. My aim is to help you access and deepen your authenticity, strength, and creativity and build a supportive and fun community.
I’m a published author and yoga alliance certified yoga teacher with a PhD in Comparative Literature. I have taught writing for over 20 years and practiced yoga for over 15 years. You might already know me from my Substack publication and podcast on cultural studies through the arts: The Matterhorn.
